Making Lemonade

For the past couple of weeks I haven’t been myself.  My mind has been temporarily hijacked by Marie, my persona pessimist extraordinaire.  She is named after the gloomiest person that I have ever known, my maternal grandmother.  But good news; I can’t be that way for very long.  It’s uncomfortable and foreign to me and I’m just not going to do it anymore.

Today I will:
1. Go on the treadmill
2. Take care of my mounting paperwork piles, pay mom’s bills
3, Put on make-up
4. Stop worrying about Joey
5. Remind myself that Judi WILL be okay
6. Be grateful for the things that are going right

    a. I did lose 5.5 pounds total since I started WeightWatchers on June 10th, including a 1.5 pound
        vacation gain
    b. Joey is getting better, slow but sure
    c. My mom is holding
    d. L is fine

7. Start pulling things aside to pack for Joey’s special needs camp next week, remain positive that he will be attending
8. Follow my WeightWatchers Online plan
9. Take time to read
10. Make lemonade, even if it’s 5 calorie Crystal Light

Thank goodness for visits from spirits positive – Aldo, my dad, and Grandpa P, my maternal grandfather.

  2. Just tried to call you back. What happened to the Johnny Cash background ring music? It was fun. But I like the classical you have now, too.

  4. Sometimes that Marie is hard to shake, and such a relief when gone.
