September sunsets are so beautiful. There’s a crispness to them, clouds defined, edged in orange berry and golden violet. Fiery streaks, holding promises of a bright autumn as they snap between the passing rooftops. September sunsets remind me of freshman year of art school, a new strange life, painting them in anticipation of unknown adventures. Senior year, facing forward, the final freedom before adulthood. September sunsets remind me of being young, when each year really began in September. Last night's sunset was the last one that I would see at the age of __. It was a good one.
Today is my birthday. I feel exactly the same as I did yesterday but I am using the the day to turn to a new blank page, make some changes – do a better job of making healthier food choices (back to tracking on WeightWatchers), re-start regular exercising for the millionth time, revise priorities, re-set my outlook to a more positive setting on the happy scale.
My family means more to me than anything in the entire world. More than anything.
I refuse to think of age as a number. It is a feeling. I do not like this number at all so I will not acknowledge it. So there.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful cousin. i want to read the phila nsp article but couldn't follow the link? probably my fault. love to you and to Dut and Joe and Joey and L. alice

You can have it... actually you look great so it wouldn't be beyond belief. Then I'll just deduct a few off my number, too. Love, Lin
