Lost in the Dark Ages

I can’t stop watching Game of Thrones.  A few weeks ago someone told me that the HBO series was “good” so I made a mental note to myself to check out the first couple of episodes on-demand when I got a chance.  So last Tuesday I did.   And every spare minute since I’ve been feeding my suburban mom addiction to bloody beheadings, treason, treachery, scheming evil queens, deception, a sadistic king, magic, incestuous royals, betrayal, dragons, vileness, goodness and everything in-between.  What a storyline.

Now I’m all caught up through the fifth episode of season 2.  My husband commented on (complained about) how many things I now have set as series recordings on “our” DVR for Sunday nights.  He watches none of them, and if two shows are scheduled to record at the same time, you have to watch one.  So he couldn’t watch the Phillies game on the big TV downstairs.  Solution: I offered to reset the recording of a 9 o’clock show for a later time.

My Sunday night lineup:
Desperate Housewives
Game of Thrones
Mad Men
The Borgias

Busy Mondays.

  2. Hi, Kim. Yes, I think he is such an interesting and dimensional character. And I’ve been meaning to check out Criminal Minds, too. Great invention, the DVR is. Hope all is well with you and family. Linda

  4. Hi linda, love Mad Men and watch on tuesday on demand to avoid the commercials.Patrice thinks it is getting very dark and she worries about Don's mental health.no matter he still looks great to me.Some of the others you mentioned I don't get because we don't have Showtime or HBO and have to wait until they come on Netflex blueray.
One of my real favorite is Downton Abbey and I won't have to wait because Patrice purchased the series and she is lending it to me and Nancy, can't wait.
    Love Aunt Ann

  5. Downton Abbey... that's another one that I've been meaning to check out on-demand.

It was so nice to see everyone yesterday. So happy to be able to celebrate Uncle H's 90th! He looks wonderful, not a day over 75.

And now for some reason I want to redecorate my entire tired-looking, boring house.

    Love, Linda
