Day One

Overwhelmed about how to recommit to this blog, I mistakenly believed that I was obligated to expound upon everything that has happened in my life since I last posted -- almost a month ago. However, a light bulb finally glowed; I don’t really have to do that, do I?  Life goes on, there are gaps and periods of nothing, there are major events and minor encounters.  And, if they are not recorded, did they not still happen?  I finished my temporary job placement; I was happy to begin it, I was happy to see it end, I had a birthday, I lost a little more weight, a nice freelance job came in, Joey had an ear infection, Joe went back to work… but today is day one, a new day.

So, on day one, this twenty-seventh day of September, in the year of our Lord two-thousand twelve, our driveway is collapsing and the repair construction was postponed due to a threat of bad weather, my glasses broke and I took them to the optometrist to fix them, the client responded positively to my layouts, I went to a Weight Watchers meeting, worked a little on a website for “Express Yourself Gift Baskets” -- still in its clunky stage.  And, for dinner we had a delicious Italian seafood stew (created by Mike, Dut’s husband) served over pasta.  Now I am going to make a cup of tea, sweeten it with three Splendas, snuggle deep  into my comfy chair to watch Jeopardy and have a good time yelling out wrong answers (I mean questions) that I think are right at the time.  Boy, those contestants are really smart, except of course when it’s celebrity Jeopardy.

I probably should have skipped this report of day one.  It could have easily blended into those above-mentioned periods of nothingness.

Have a good night!
