The Rain

There never seems to be a shortage of the crap that can rain down on us.  All of us – no exceptions.  Sometimes it is merely a drizzle, light and steady, but sometimes it pours down in sharp-edged sheets and heavy drenching buckets and has you searching frantically for the ark.  Of course, to no avail.  Where the hell is that damn boat when you need it?  The possibilities and varieties of crap are endless – from the minor nuisance to the life threatening, we do not make it through this life without sampling all of it.

But the trick is this: keep standing; get a raincoat and an sturdy umbrella.  Curse and fight.  Look for the sun.

  3. Hi, Kim and Auntie. Yeah, I guess everyone can relate, unfortunately.

Kim, I've been following your blog. It seems like your writing has really helped you through this difficult time. I hope it did - many beautiful words.
