I have been responding to employment ads but nothing usually
comes of it. Yesterday, I got an interest email from a graphic design/printing
company, nearby. Interview today. Wait until they hear that I can’t start until
September (Joey’s program is closed the last week in August). Add to that, I
can only work part time until, well, I have no idea – we still don’t know when
Joey will be moving into his group home.
So frustrating.
How honest am I supposed to be about my situation without it falling
into the “this girl’s got way too much family baggage” employer category? Plus, look at how old she is! So, no job from this company, I’m sure.
Well, I’m giving it a shot because that’s what I do.
Nice place, nice owner, nice company. Good interview – until the part when I say that I can't work full time until a later date, yet to be determined, and I explain the reason why. Meeting cordially adjourned. Thank you for your time.
