The Sights and Sounds of New York

Finally, our long-anticipated day trip to New York City came to be. For our patience, Dut and I were rewarded with beautiful sunshine and perfect walking weather.  After a delicious lunch at a restaurant called 10 Downing Street, Greenwich Village (not London) with my two cousins, Alice and MaryAnne, and Don, MaryAnne’s entertaining husband, we took to the streets.   After exploring the less traveled lanes and avenues where my father and his brothers began their illustrious journeys in life, after admiring the historic architecture where my mother and father lived as unconventional newlyweds, we walked to the famous nearby SoHo shopping district.  Philly is never that crowded.  I want to go back to New York.
