A Tech-Free Day

Today I did not check my email, not even once, not even from my phone.  I did not touch my computer all day (until now), not one tiny keystroke.  I did not "google" one silly fact, however interesting and helpful it might have been to know a certain bit of information at the moment.  I didn’t search for one job, respond to one ad, read one inane FaceBook post or work piecemeal on a lingering InDesign project.  I did a couple of loads of wash and watched part of a windy Florida pre-season Phillies-Yankees game and a pretty awful SNL, DVRed from last night. I read. I had an afternoon visit from Dut and mom came over for dinner.

I think I’ll go unplugged again next Sunday.  Maybe I’ll make it a Sunday tradition from now on.  But, now I am off to sort through an indeterminate number of junk emails and spam.  Everything has a price.
