Yesterday was a soggy, dreary Sunday but that didn’t stop me from following my plans to meet up with an old friend and head south for lunch at Harry’s Seafood Grill on the revitalized Wilmington, Delaware waterfront. I had an elegant lobster salad on Boston bibb with tomato and sliced avocado. C. had Harry’s blackened tuna tacos and a baby spinach salad studded with spiced pecans, sundried cherries,
red onion, blue cheese and drizzled with fig walnut vinaigrette. All so delicious – but the best part was catching up with my friend of over 35 years. We passed on the dessert.
After lunch it stayed dry outside long enough for us to take a stroll along the Delaware River waterfront. Scattered beside the decorative brick paths were the most artistically crafted birdhouses – ever. Now, as everyone knows, I’m not even remotely a fan of anything sporting feathers unless it is already plucked, rotisseried and can be toted home in a plastic microwave-safe package. But, these birdhouses were so amazing.
Nice day in spite of the clouds.

Linda, loved seeing Wilmington and think Uncle and I will take a trip down for lunch and view the birdhouses unlike you he is a long time birder.thanks.
ReplyDeletelove you Aunt Ann
I admit that I was pretty relieved that there were no feathered critters flying in and out of the things, but that wouldn't bother a "birder" like Uncle H. Loved talking to you this morning :)
